DeleteHello sir, I need help please. I made this downgrades thousands of times but, I stupidly deleted ALL files before launching ODIN to make it like always ODIN says PASS, phone reboots but I am still waiting for the first screen showing SAMSUNG GALAXY S ADVANCE GT... to disappear. IT DOESNT. I can install jellybean again, it works but I cant go back to gingerbread anymore. Is this a semi-brick? What can I do?
ReplyDeleteSir, I need help, please. I made this procedures many times, but I stupidly deleted EVERYTHING in file explorer when I was at JellyBean, then made wipes (factory reset, cache, and dalvik), made steps with Odin, passed, rebooted the phone, but STUCKED at SGS ADVANCE GT screen. I managed to install jellybean, no problems, but cant get Gingerbread working anymore. I tried reseting, pulling out the battery, wipes, formating, but no luck. I know I might have deleted important system files, but can I make it work well again?
ReplyDeletewhile updating the device your galaxy s advance do not disconnect it until odin say pass. The phone will restart once during update process and after this odin will return pass. So do not disconnect the phone until you see pass in odin.
DeleteSecondly if you updated your s advance to jellybean via samsung kies then your phone's baseband may not be compatible with gingerbread as it is previously updated to jellybean.
And finally repeat this downgrade process once more and this time do not factory reset or wipe cache etc. After odin says pass disconnect your s advance and let it start own its own. It will take longer time to show home screen. Do not do hurry, as phones and tablets having large storage take more time to start after upgrade or downgrade.
Hope this helps.
Thank for your fast response, but I managed to find out that I was using the ROM first in PDA section, not DXD1 file, so I just forgot that one. Anyways, I hope this mistake could help someone if has this problem I had.
DeleteI found the mistake! I forgot to put the DXD1 file in PDA first, and then all the process but using the ROM in PDA section. I directly used the rom and not the first file mentioned, so that made the phone unable to run anything (except from entering download mode). A big mistake, for sure. Thanks anyways, I'll be here again if another problem occurs, great page and fast responses.
DeleteIts good to hear that you finally found the solution.
Deletemy phone memory is reduced to 3.9 gb . i have 16 gb internal memory but its not showing now . please tell me remeady . my phone is indian one
ReplyDeleteEither use samsung kies to update it to 4.1 jellybean, because the gingerbread rom file for indian version is not available on samsung updates. Updating to jellybean will fix the storage issue..

ReplyDeletehardly 5 minutes..
DeletePhone is stuck at NAND Write Start since 30 minutes. Any idea what I should be doing ?
Deleteshould i unplug my phone from the USB?
DeleteInstall samsung KIES for latest samsung USB drivers. If your model is 16 GB then don't forget the .pit file in the tutorial. It would be great if you install the rom of your country. Which country do you live in. I will provide you a link of country specific rom.
DeleteYes, I used the latest Kies version. And also I did select the PIT file. I live in India. Please send me the links. Should I unplug the device from USB then?
Deletehere is your download link.
Deletehttp://terafile.co/222154239129/INU-I9070DDULP8-20130412134604.zip
I can't say whether it is for 16 GB. I recommend to use samsung KIes
So should I now repeat the steps with this new download link?
DeleteYes. If the zip file contains .pit file then also use it for 16GB model and if the zip doesn't contain it then just flash the rom via odin. This time you would not get any errors.

ReplyDeleteIt only applies to GT-I9070 galaxy s advance. Galaxy S advance nfs is not supported by this tutorial. So make sure that your phone's model is GT-I9070 without NFC.
DeleteYes. Mine is the non NFC model only.
DeleteThis is europian ROM so hindi font may not work. Re update the phone with samsung kies or download the indian rom and again flash it.
ReplyDeleteHi.. I wanted to downgrade to Ginger bread from Jelly bean.Lastly i updated to the latest jelly bean for Argentina (Personal) using Odin 3.09 and wanted to go back to gingerbread again. I downloaded the GB version for india and got only one file named." I9070DDLK2_I9070ODDLJ1_HOME.tar.md5". I had put the .md5 file in PDA and flashed. I disconnected my phone after odin said "pass". Now my phone is stuck in the first screen and not booting to welcome screen of android. I have a 16 GB model. Please help!!
ReplyDeleteYour phone is absolutely fine, just clear the dalvik cache and factory reset it. Follow the step below, but it will erase everything on your phone.
Delete1. Reboot galaxy s advance in recovery mode by pressing home, power button and volume up key together. The device will automatically boot in recovery mode.
2.You can move up and down by pressing volume up and down buttons. Now select “wipe data/factory reset”.
3. The device will be wiped and factory reset.
4. Then go back and select “wipe cache partition”. After wiping cache partition go back and select “reboot system now”.
Now your s advance will work fine.
The system does not boot into recovery mode itself. Every time I try to boot into recovery mode, it gets stuck in the first screen. Then I have to remove the battery and re-install it and then try to go to recovery mode but in vain. Please note that I did not have any custom recovery installed. I had no other way than to flash jelly bean again. Please suggest how to proceed? Is flashing GB through Odin 3.07 is ok.
DeleteFirst shut off the phone then press home+volume up+power button at same time to reboot in recovery mode. If nothing works use samsung kies to update to android 4.1 jellybean.
