- First of all your phone should have an active data plan.
- Go to 'Settings>Wireless and networks>Mobile networks>Network mode'.
- Choose WCDMA only.
- Now enable 'Use packet data'.
- You will see the 'H' sign before network signals. This H sign means high speed internet.
- Move outside of your house to get good reception of signals.
In the above image you can see that I am getting a download speed of 116 KBps on galaxy y which is very fast. I am using UC browser 9.2 because it is best for super fast internet on galaxy y. This trick converts the 2G into 3G network if network is supported. I tested it on Vodafone (UK).
