Google Maps for android has been updated to v9.9. The latest version comes with a translucent status bar so that navigation can be done on full screen. This feature can only be seen in android 5.0 Lollipop. Also if you had made a flight or hotel reservation with your Google account then you can access it in 'My Events'. The app requires minimum android 4.3 Jellybean and the file size is 22.27 MB.
