Samsung has released the official android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE. Samsung left the android 5.0.2 update and updated the tablet directly to android 5.1.1. The OTA update is being released in phases and every Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE user will not get the update at the same time. To receive the OTA update Samsung has put you in the queue. And nobody can tell when you will receive the update notification on your tablet. But if you don't want to wait then you can break the queue and update your Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE manually to android 5.1.1 Lollipop T335XXU1BOF8 firmware by using ODIN v3.10.6.
The new update brings several bug fixes, improved device stability and of-course material design and android 5.1.1 Lollipop features. After updating to this latest update you may not be able to downgrade your tablet for security reasons, but don't worry ODIN will do the job.
