WhatsApp 2.12.489 has added the 'Document' support for android and iOS. Which means that we can now send PDF files to other users worldwide. This is another new feature of WhatsApp besides the Voice Calling and WhatsApp-Web. This is an official feature and you don't need to download any third party app to get this functionality. Just update the app version to 2.12.489. After installing the app your phone may not show the 'Document' icon, to resolve this just restart your phone.

How To Send PDF Documents In Whatsapp
- Download WhatsApp 2.12.489 APK.
- Install the app. If installation is blocked then go to 'Settings>Security>Unknown sources'. Enable it.
- After installing the app, open any chat head. Now tap the attachment icon.
- Tap 'Document', a list of all PDF files will be shown. Tap the desired file.
- A confirmation popup will appear, tap "OK" to proceed.
Alternate Method To Send PDF Files
For some reasons if your PDF file isn't listed in the WhatsApp file picker then you can send the PDF files without using the 'Document' option. Follow the steps below for manual procedure.- Locate the desired file in a file manager.
- Long tap it and select 'Share'. Choose 'WhatsApp'.
- Now all chat list will open.
- Select the contact to whom you want to send the file.
- A popup will open, tap 'OK'.
- Wait for the file to upload.
